Michelle Devlin - Peer Pressure

For this blog, I chose a short video clip that I found on the topic of peer, or 'group' pressure, in an elevator. It relates to psychology in that it shows a willingness to conform when a person feels uncomfortable, awkward, or out-of-place. For example, these people on Candid Camera readily mimicked the actions of the strangers surrounding them. This displays that, in most situations, people perceive the behavior of the group as the norm of how to behave.

Funny Elevator Psychology
An old video from the TV show Candid Camera. They show us what happens if everyone on an elevator stands backwards. LOL!
